Here's the Draft Log for KHM Draft #8.

Since they don't currently save P1P1, here it is:

As always, here's my thoughts post draft but before playing a game:
  • P1P1. Blessing of Frost seems to require being in snow. I guess not taking it is sending a message. Though, we also have Shimmerdrift Vale in this pack. I took what I thought was the most flexible card yet powerful with Shepherd of the Cosmos to bring back a card to battlefield (like a creature or Rune).
  • P1P2. Okay, nothing really jumps out the Rare is taken. Moritte definitely sends you down the snow way. Rune seems like a safe bet, while keeping the white paths open. Glittering Frost seems early to take in draft. Though useful if we knew we were going down snow. If we had taken Blessing of Frost with P1P1, probably taking Glittering Frost would have been right here.
  • P1P3. Can't ignore the Packmate. Though Spirit of Aldergard might have been the right call if we were going down snow. Berg Strider another snow. So far nobody has taken snow lands.
  • P1P4. Snow Covered Plains - weakest. So Raptor or Sword. Struggle is here as well. Battlefield Raptor is good for aggro, we got the rune and worse case Shepherd of the Cosmos could bring it back.
  • P1P5. Yuck on pack. In hindsight, UG land would have been nice - almost rare picked it. Frostpyre Arcanist doesn't really fit deck but leaves UG options. Was tempted to take Axgard Armory but seems pretty weak without a mythic equipment.
  • P1P6. Thought I might be going Blue. Was tempted to take the Glittering Frost here. Took the more powerful card.
  • P1P7. Okay. I decided to take the Snow Land before taking the payoff of the Icehide Troll. Thought about the Axgard Calvary for aggro Red, but trending toward UG.
  • P1P8. If aggro, we got options here with Helm and Champion. But took the Horizon Seeker to help me find land if I go 3 color snow.
  • P1P9. Okay, I'll take the Shimmerdrift on the wheel. someone took the snow covered mountain before it.
  • P1P10. Moritte wheels. I'll take it.
  • P1P11. Berg Strider wheels. Though Highland Forest wheeling shows snow seems very open.
  • P1P12. Okay, take the Snow Covered Plains.
  • P1P13. Strategic Planning, eh.
  • P1P14. Jaspera Sentinel - a fine fixing card, not horrible to take it 2nd to last in pack
  • P1P15. Master Skald - not horrible for last pick. White open?
  • P2P1. Arctic Treeline fits colors. But powerful rare, even worth splashing for. Frostpeak Yeti - hopefully it wheels or the Treeline.
  • P2P2. Let's take the Island and hope Glittering Frost or Troll wheels. Gates of Isfell would be good option.
  • P2P3. Replicating Ring over Mistwalker. Hope it wheels.
  • P2P4. Icebind Pillar. Guess nobody to my left is playing blue, as a rare and 2 other commons were taken. But Ice Manipulator is too good.
  • P2P5. Shimmerdrift Vale. Raven might have been an option.
  • P2P6. I'll take the on color snow dual land over nothing noteworthy for our snow pile.
  • P2P7. Green uncommon land in our colors as an option to put counters on creatures.
  • P2P8. Um yes please for Behold. The Island was tempting, but can't pass Behold here.
  • P2P9. Yeti wheels.
  • P2P10. Troll wheels. Gates of Isfell did as well but I need the win condition of Icehide Troll more.
  • P2P11. Mistwalker wheels - I guess right. Wow, it went all the way around, just like the Behold.
  • P2P12. Take the Snow Land.
  • P2P13. Ox to sideboard.
  • P2P14. Doomskar Oracle - curve isn't low, so to sideboard
  • P2P15. Mammoth Growth - fine last pick that would actually fit my deck as "removal"
  • P3P1. Debated between Maja and Mistwalker. Double white scared me on Maja. Nothing else really. If Ice Tunnel was on color, I would have taken it. Not enough single creature type for Reflections.
  • P3P2. So. We could have had TWO Blessings of Frost. Rune of Flight was interesting but it seems like we have flying. Hoping Troll or the Snow Dual land wheels.
  • P3P3. Avalanche Caller very good in this deck. Island or Hawk wheel please.
  • P3P4. No snow land. Hm. Raven seems the best option here. Fall of the Impostor with 2 +1/1 counters and exile their highest power card was tempting. Outrider was tempting as a big creature too.
  • P3P5. Snow land not on target. Yeti seems like a good snow pay off.
  • P3P6. Ick. Path to the World tree too late, though I just realized it does go fetch a basic land and I have the shimmerdrift vales. No glittering Frosts though. Ravenform used as "removal", especially with Exile and not destroy.
  • P3P7. Struggle over the Fjord (not on color).
  • P3P8. Iron Verdict for removal over the Yeti.
  • P3P9. And the wheel. Debated on Maja over Broken Wings. Double white was trouble.
  • P3P10. Happy to take the Snow Dual Land. Troll didn't wheel.
  • P3P11. Pilfering Hawk wheels.
  • P3P12. Impostor wheels, nothing else here.
  • P3P13. Happy to take another Jaspara Sentinel here.
  • P3P14. 2nd Skald.
  • P3P15. Spoils to the Sideboard

I felt good about most of this draft. I think the gap I had was looking and understanding the mana base. The curve is a bit high without much 1-2 drops but I have a good # of Foretell. 6 of 17 lands are tap lands. Let's learn how this works. The one thing about the draft is understanding enough signals to say one of these other cards will wheel
